Product Name: JBL On Air Control 2.4G Wireless Speaker System Score Out Of 10: 7.2/10

Good Points:

The JBL On Air Control 2.4G Wireless Speaker System comes with very good quality when talking about sound as it does sound as good as a regular wired speaker system. We liked the compatibility offered as this unit does function with any product that offers headphone jacks or line level outputs. The design is very solid and you will enjoy the mounting options due to versatility. Non-wireless connections are available through line in port and the JBL On Air Control 2.4G Wireless Speaker System actually functioned beyond the 70 foot range that is claimed.

Bad Points:

One interesting fact is that the JBL On Air Control 2.4G Wireless Speaker System does come with a lot of wires even if it is wireless. You could not use it as surround channels as the receivers are limited thanks to preamplifier outputs. The remote control did not offer very good performance.

What We Thought

On the whole the JBL On Air Control 2.4G Wireless Speaker System needs a lot of wires and you will find that there is limited compatibility with various possible surround receivers. The unit costs between $172 and $200 and the bottom line is that sound quality is impressive. We are faced with better features and performance than a lot of wireless solutions that appeared in the past and we do recommend the JBL On Air Control 2.4G Wireless Speaker System as a good enough unit for most individuals. If you are not satisfied you should not get worried as other alternatives exist from the competition.

Bad Points:

There is no PictBridge support. The J6480 only has 3 auto fax buttons and is slower than the average printer on photo prints.

What We Thought:

The HP Officejet J6480 is a complete package. It is the newest all-in-one offered from Hewlett-Packard. They have loaded this particular model with tons of special features including; Autoduplexing, photo finishing, one-touch faxing, Optical Character Recognition with its scanner, auto-document feeder, and even built-in wireless networking, all for a price range of between $159.99 - $199.99.

The J6480 is a larger model then some with a footprint of 18.7 in wide by 18.6 inches deep. The unit is also a bit heavy weighing 16.87 pounds. However, the height is only 10 inches so it does not appear to be monstrous.

Do you need a wireless computer

While many computers come standard with a wireless card built into them, do you really need a wireless internet option with your computer? If you have a portable computer or laptop the answer is probably yes. Once built only for travellers, lap tops are the most popular type of computer being sold and represent the future of computing.

Do you need a wireless computer

With a laptop computer and a wireless network in your home or office, you can work or surf the net and check email anywhere you feel like in your home or office. If you want to read the internet news while you eat breakfast you can. You can check stocks while you brush your teeth or read some emails while you blow dry your hair and you don't need a blackberry to do it.

Wireless connectivity may not be mandatory at this point for the average computer user, but it is fast becoming the standard for most homes. In generations past, people would gather around the television after dinner and

watch the popular programs of the day.

Now after dinner family members grab their laptops, curl up in their favourite chair, and check the game scores, email, and update their MySpace page or Facebook profile. This is not really possible without wireless technology although you could run long cables for the outlet to your favourite chair.

Wireless networking cards are also available through cell phone companies allowing you to connect wirelessly to the internet from anywhere which gives you even more freedom than wireless networking at your home or office.

D-Link DGL-4300 wireless router

Product Name: D-Link DGL-4300 wireless router

Scores out of 10: 7.9

Good points:

This is one product which can give you most facilities you have desired in any wireless router. If you look at the D-link DGL-4300 wireless router, you will find that it contains a GameFuel mode which gives priority to other games. The GameFuel also gives priority to high bandwidth applications that are being played for faster response. This is a wireless router which contains four gigabit Ethernet ports. Apart from that it also contains a support of a WPA system. This router also contains a SPI firewall for its safe performance. The best part of this wireless outer is its setting up system; you will find that to set this wireless router is very easy as compared to other routers.

Bad points:

The biggest turnoff of the new d-link DGL-4300 wireless router is that it is pretty expensive. Therefore, this is definitely not for casual users. This system lacks MIMO technology. This is a technology which is useful in most of the routers for their enhanced working. Another disadvantage of this wireless router is that it comes only with one year warranty. You can find that, this wireless system needs to get connected with wireless adapter to get the best speed especially on the computer. Another drawback is that one needs to be knowledgeable about networking to get best results out of the DGL-4300. The user may be in a fix if he has no idea about troubleshooting. The customer support is not quite reliable and there is little help on the internet. It has less range and cannot be used for long distance communication.

What we thought:

There are few things that today's gamers get attracted to the first time they see it and D-Link DGL-4300 wireless router seems to be one of them. The D-Link DGL-4300 Wireless Gaming Router is on the list of every serious gamer. Although it is difficult to set-up for more complicated options, it is relatively easier if you know about computers and networking. The setup will take you through the installation process and you will soon find that DGL-4300 is easy for activating the basic functions. One setup is for configuring the router and the other setup is for activating the wireless options. It is a bit complicated to do advance settings where you will find four main sections; basic, advanced, tools, and status. These again have subsections and without proper background it is difficult to understand. The DGL-4300 wireless gaming router is protected with SPI Firewall and the setting it up is very easy. There are some more faculties also given to the users; the router is also supported with a WPA system which enables you to get the things done properly and without any problems. The main disadvantage of this router is that it is costly. That's not all; the wireless router comes with only one year guarantee. Another issue is that the wireless adapter also has to be connected to a computer via an adapter. In all, a router you would like to consider.

Logitech G7 Wireless Gaming Mouse: Gaming Elegance

I am a game freak and have tried my hand at all kinds of mice available in the market. The success rate in games depends highly on the quality of the mouse that is being used. Logitech has always been my preference and I have been using their mice for quite a few years. Logitech's mice are always a piece of precision and give the best performance. I am quite a big fan of their gaming mouse, which is a wireless laser mouse that has been ergonomically designed. It is quite lightweight and made up of polymer technology as well as has 2000 DPI.

Logitech G7 Wireless

Such superb specifications make it exceptional and it literally grows on you. There are two editions available, but the only difference is in the material that has been used. In the special edition, left and right buttons are just coloured differently and it is constructed of ultra-light carbon. The package includes rechargeable batteries, a USB dongle, a driver/software CD, two hot-swappables, and documentation.

Logitech G7 is my best possession so far and I am really a proud owner. I always carry it in the special bag I bought for it just in case. Elegant looks and killer performance is what you get with this mouse. The wireless performance is awesome and Logitech has been able to integrate the wireless mouse with gaming amazingly well. The colour combination is quite elegant with pleasant silver and green sides. The finish is quite smooth, but the mouse tends to get sweaty if you play long hours. Not that it is a big issue, but just keep the tissues handy.

Thank yo

Battle of Wireless Ridge

Battle of Wireless Ridge

The Battle of Wireless Ridge was fought as part of the Falklands War between the UK and Argentina, over sovereign rights to the Falkland Islands. The British were continuing their advance toward the Falklands capital of Stanley, where the Argentine forces had established their stronghold. Wireless Ridge was one of a series of seven strategic hills near the town, which would give the British forces control over the surrounding area.

Battle of Wireless Ridge
Battle of Wireless Ridge
The battle for Wireless Ridge was the second phase in the overall British plan to successfully recapture Stanley. The first series of attacks secured Two Sisters, Mount Longdon and Mount Harriet, while the second involved taking both Wireless Ridge and Mount Tumbledown. The third and final phase involved fighting for Stanley itself, in what many assumed would be hand-to-hand street fighting.

The British began their advance on Wireless Ridge from the area surrounding Mount Longdon, supported by naval and tank fire. When they reached the hill, they found that the Argentine forces had already withdrawn. As the British attempted to consolidate their position they were greeted with a heavy bombardment from the Argentine forces and they retaliated with a massive attack, which forced a rapid withdrawal by the defenders. Both sides continued to bombard the other with heavy artillery and machine gun fire.

The Battle of Wireless Ridge resulted in a victory for the British, which ended with the surrender of the entire Argentinean force on the islands later that day.

Altec Lansing T612

Product ALTEC LANSING T612

Score out of 10 6.9/10

The good: This device comes with a GSM shielded I-Pod dock that allows using the i-Phone without requiring switching to an airplane mode; you will like the attractive design; rich sound; music resumes and pauses after and before a call.
Altec Lansing T612
Altec Lansing T612

The bad: This device lacks a radio; and does not include a video output. The wireless remote comes with limited functionality

What we thought: Despite missing a few of the competitive features, T612 is a cut above the rest thanks to its sleek design, sound features like bass treble, and mobile phone technology for anti-interference, which appeals the i-phone owners.

Specifications include portable speakers and digital player dock; Dimensions (W*D*H) 13.9 in x 5.4in x 8.2in; amplification type: compatibility active: IPod mini, IPod nano, IPod with video, IPod touch, IPod classic.

Its black motif lends itself more to black IPods, but it pairs well enough with other colours as well. Its compact design offers to be mounted on a wall or sit on a table shelf. Its dimensions are (WxDxH) 14 x 5.4 x 8.2 and is not a heavy leaden box, weighing at just 5 pounds.

This model will skip the USB port and video output. The wireless remote included, offers a limited functionality, with only the basic functions performed.

This model offers a decent sound quality, with a little facility for stereo separation.

The model offers technology for anti-interference, which subsequently means the pausing and resuming of the music before and after a call, with no hissing sound and also not requiring diverting all your calls on a voice mail.

To conclude, this model does not attach any specific complaints to it, other than missing a few of the key features found in M602 like including USB port, video output and FM- radio. But the centric features of T612 are its main advertisement. For people already having an IPhone, the Altec T612 is worth consideration with street price falling below $150
